About me...

Born and raised in San Jose, I am a long time Bay Area resident.  I studied broadcasting, video and film production at San Jose State University and have many years of photography studies and experience before that.
My first professional job was in video production and online editing.  I went freelance within a year of that and spent several years in lighting and grip.  This transitioned into ENG/EFP location sound for many more years.  As a location sound mixer I traveled across the country and around the globe.
After I married, my travels were more limited and closer to home.  This allowed me to venture more into event sound and A1/A2 work shortly before people found out that I had a good understanding of various signals and video equipment.
I was recruited to build flypacks and setup video and editing studios...then, operate them.  Over the years one thing has pushed out the other.  Lighting/grip was taken over by sound mixing and now that has been pushed aside by the many demands of video engineering.
